Master John Canale has been training and instructing at the Dragon Gym for over 30 years. Currently a Fourth degree black belt, Master Canale began his training at the Dragon Gym in 1983 under Grand Master Chae Teok Goh.
He has received numerous accolades throughout his many years of affiliation with the Dragon Gym, including:
- Letter of appreciation from Grand Master Goh - 1987
- Certificate of Student Instructor Appreciation from Grand Master Goh - 1988
- Martial Artist of the Year - 1992
- Letter of Commendation from Kang Won-Sik, President of Kukkiwon World Headquarters, Seoul, Korea - 2013
During the last ten years Master Canale has been training and instructing under Head Master Somnath Sikdar. Master Canale is honored to be affiliated with and be a part of the Dragon Gym Legacy. In addition to having a lifetime commitment to the martial arts, he has a strong desire to share with his fellow martial arts students what his own masters have shared with him.
