In a hurry and need to pick up something to eat on the road??
As an Exton Personal trainer I find that many of my clients fall into trouble with their
diets when they are traveling or just busy with their "day-to-day". Here’s a few healthy choices to choose from when out and need to get something quick but healthy to eat.
Breakfast options:
Starbucks: 1. Reduced fat turkey bacon egg white sandwich on a multi-grain English muffin 2. Spinach and Feta Egg white breakfast wrap 3. Hearty Blueberry whole grain oatmeal Panera Bread: 1. Steal cut oatmeal with strawberries and pecans 2. Mediterranean egg white on ciabatta bread (fresh spinach and basil, roasted tomatos, white cheddar and eggs whites Mcdonalds: (not first choice) 1. Oatmeal with dried cranberries, raisens and apples 2. Egg white delight muffin only 250 calories / 18grams of protein Duncan Donuts: (not first choice) 1. Veggie or Turkey sausage egg white flat bread
Lunch options:
Panera Bread: 1. Chicken cobb with avocado Salad with blue cheese, bacon bits and egg 2. Greek with shrimp salad 3. Mediterranean shrimp cousous salad 4. Spinach power salad (any many more great salad options) Subway: 1. Make your own Chopped Spinach Salad with as many vegetables as you’d like added. Choice of Tuna or chicken for protein Mcdonalds: 1. Premium Southwest salad with grilled chicken only 290 calories/ 27 grams of protein
Dinner options:
Panera Bread: 1. Chicken cobb with avocado Salad with blue cheese, bacon bits and egg 2. Greek with shrimp salad 3. Mediterranean shrimp cousous salad 4. Spinach power salad ( many more great salad options) Wegmans grocery store: 1. $6 meals- choice of 1 protein such as lemon chicken or tilapia fish (many more options). Choice of 2 sides such as harvest vegetables, broccoli, red potatoes, spinach etc. 2. Salad Bar to make a healthy salad Giant grocery store: 1. Salad bar with many options to make a healthy salad
